The ECHO LEVEL HUNTER II is an advanced, low cost, ultrasonic level measurement system that utilizes the latest state-of-the-art technology to provide reliable measurement and control. It can accurately measure level and volume (pre-configured tank shapes) and perform alarm and fixed pump control for up to 4 pumps. Standard features include: 1 4-20mA output, 4 SPDT Relays, LED's for alarm/pump status and Quick Setup menu-driven programming. It also comes standard with a RS-232 serial communication port and optional RS-485.

The six buttons allow for easy programming using a quick set up method. No manual needed. Echo Process Instrumentation has eliminated the need for complex parameter programming. It uses a simple question and answer sequence which allows the Level Hunter II to be programmed in minutes. Housed in a rugged NEMA 4X enclosure with easy access to the wiring terminals, the Level Hunter II is the ideal instrument for non-contact ultrasonic level measurement and alarm/pump control.

The Level Hunter II and XDS transducer is a complete ultrasonic level measurement system for use in liquid, slurry or solids applications up to 50 ft depending on the sensor chosen.  It is used frequently for pump stations, storage tanks, pond or river level and more.  It is a reliable solution for your level needs.

• Transducer Mounting:  Confirm the XDS transducer is mounted above the highest water level possible to compensate for the Near Blanking Distance .  This is required because any liquid that comes inside this blanking distance will be ignored and cause a loss of echo or wrong level to be displayed.
  
  
• Transducer Shade:  Mount a plate or 1' x 1' plywood over the transducer to shield it from the thermal effects of the sun.  During the hot summer days, the transducer will heat up more than the ambient temperature if not shielded properly.  This will cause slight errors in the flow measurement because the Speed of Sound changes with temperature.  The XDS transducer is temperature compensated automatically.
  
  
• Transducer Location:  Confirm the transducer has a clear shot to the Empty Distance or no flow condition and is mounted perpendicular to the water.
